I come here for breakfast and just park on the street. Even though I have to park away I don't mind cause the food is fire. And the service is also great! The ladies are sweet and the food comes out quickly. We got our coffee refilled more than we could drink. They are so sweet fr. I always order the Salvadoran breakfast and Pupusas's. The handmade tortillas make the breakfast amazing for me. The ensalada and horchata drinks are authentic and good. It got a little hot inside but other than that it's a great safe experience. Come check it out or have a drink at the bar with some nice natives. The customers are allowed to use their restroom. Dining area is clean and comfortable. I want to go back already.

I have never in my 63 years of living had a pupusa w coctel as scrumptious as these dishes here at Pulgarcito. I endured 3 nights and 4 days from Laredo, Texas just to have these cheese and pork patties in my mouth and I don't regret a single second of that horrendous train ride. I might buy this place so I can have it everyday. It's THAT good! #PraiseGod

This is a decent little spot, the micheladas are good, I tried the little meat files pies called pastilles, they're pretty much little fried mini pies, served with a side of the curtido. I came here with a friend who had the pupusas and said they're really good.

I went there and ate some good Salvadorian food and the waitress, Cassandra, was friendly and attentive! Well anyway, as I was enjoying my Pupusas, I went ahead and forgot my headphones worth $150 on the table as I walked out. I looked all over the house for them and then I remembered, the last place I went to, and needless to say, I thought to myself, " They're not going to give it to me and there gonna say that they never saw the headphones on the table"! NOPE! I called over there and I described to the lady, exactly what my headphones looked like, then she said , Yep we have them right here, I was so happy that they were so honest! Now, they have a customer for life so you can go there enjoy the great food, the nice waitress and know that your staff will be safe in case you forget it! Gracias AGAIN-thank you!!

Yup. I LOVE these mom-and-pop restaurants. This is another gem. I was starving and really hadn't eaten much all day so I got the plantain with beans and swapped out the sour cream for cheese. ''Twas my salvation. I devoured it. The beans are smokey and maybe even chocolatey. The cheese was hard yet very mild. The plaintains were a tender, fried sweetness with a steaming center. I rounded it off with the Bistek plate of steak, grilled veg, salad, rice and more of those yummy beans. I wasn't even hungry the rest of the evening until I started describing my meal to you now... Darn! My only suggestion would be to include some savoury or spicy sauce for the salad. I squirted lime juice on it but my gringo taste buds wanted something more. All in all, I'd say this place is a local staple of Pacoima. Hit it up, the servers are wonderful, the cooks are personable and the food is finger-licking-good!
